Everett Long has over 25 years of military and security experience. He currently is working as the Senior Security Supervisor and Executive Protection Specialist with Shadow Protective Services, LLC. Mr. Long’s professional experience as a Combat Engineer, Noncommissioned Officer and Paratrooper at Fort Bragg, North Carolina provided him with expert knowledge, expertise and senior leadership ability culminating in his selection as an instructor at the XVIII Airborne Corps’ NCO Academy & Fort Bragg, North Carolina
Mr. Long is a North Carolina native who graduated from East Bladen High School in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. He retired after 20 years of honorable service with the US Army having been awarded the Meritorious Service medal, Army Good Conduct medal (6th Award), Army Commendation medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement medal, National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Korean Defense Service medal, South West Asia Service medal, Kuwait Liberation medal (K Device), Southwest Asia Service medal w/ Bronze Service Star, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development ribbon w/ numeral 2, Army Service ribbon, Overseas Service ribbon (3rd Award), Army Unit Superior award, US Parachutists badge, Driver and Mechanics badge w/ Driver Bar and the Canadian and Honduran Parachutist badges.
He is the most senior security officer at Shadow Protective Services, LLC and is frequently called upon to supervise security operations involving dozens of subordinate officers responsible for the safety, security and protection of thousands of patrons, fans and other personnel.
Mr. Long has performed executive protection operations for several high profile celebrities, Grammy award winning artist and VIP’s. He has worked as a senior corrections officer for the North Carolina Department of Corrections at Raleigh Central Prison. Mr. Long is a graduate of the Unarmed & Armed Security Officer Training courses at Guthrie Training Services, certified in OC Pepper Spray, Physical Restraints and the Expandable Baton, the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board Executive Protection for Private Investigators Course held at Central Piedmont Community College by the head of the North Carolina Governor’s Private Protective Detail and an Executive Protection seminar in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He completed a very high profile corporate security assignment in Atlanta, Georgia with 3 separate top Fortune 500 companies, was personally selected to perform armed security services for a corporate client to prevent work place violence and employee terminations and most recently selected to perform security services at both the Republican National Convention RNC (Ohio) and Democratic National Convention DNC (Philadelphia).
